Grovo - Designing the Core Content Creation Tool

Grovo, founded in 2010, was a pioneer in microlearning, offering a SaaS platform to help organizations create, manage, and deliver short, impactful lessons. With clients like Gap Inc., Hulu, and Wells Fargo, Grovo's platform empowered businesses to train employees, develop leaders, and align learning strategies with business goals. The core of this approach was the ability for users to create and customize their own educational content through Grovo’s Content Creation Tool.

My Role
As the lead designer, I drove the design strategy and created the end-to-end experience for Grovo’s Content Creation Tool. I planned and facilitated research to ensure the tool met the needs of trainers and managers, enabling them to design lessons that were engaging, flexible, and aligned with their goals. My design was a key factor in Cornerstone’s acquisition of Grovo, and the tool—now rebranded as the "Grovo Create Tool"—remains largely intact today, with only minor design updates.

Status: The Grovo Create Tool became a pivotal part of Grovo’s platform, driving its acquisition by Cornerstone and continuing to serve as a critical component of their learning solutions.
